Field Trip to CCNY Solar Roof Pod

The NYAEE invites members and friends to join us on a field trip to inspect New York's entry into the DOE's Solar Decathlon competition. This event has been postponed until after the competition in D.C.  Stay tuned for further information.

Team New York, comprised of students from the Spitzer School of Architecture and the Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York, is one of 20 teams competing in the 2011 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon. We are designing and building an operational solar-powered prototype dwelling to be installed on the National Mall in the nation’s capital Washington, D.C., and open to the public in the nation’s capital Washington, D.C, from September 23 to October 2, 2011.
